World Series Game 2 Prop Bets

Game 1 recap: Couldn’t have started much better than a Jorge Soler leadoff home run to cash Soler 4/1 anytime home run prop and the 1st inning yes score.

Game 2 Props

1st Inning Yes score -105 or better

After winning yesterday’s 1st inning yes score bet, I am going to bet it again today but I see some different prices available, -115 at Circa, DraftKings, and the Westgate, which I don't consider particularly playable. BetMGM has yes score 1st inning at -105 and I would definitely play yes score 1st inning at -105. I’ve seen some even higher prices offshore with some plus money + 105 and + 110s available.

Yesterday, I noticed the South Point went to + 115 on the 1st inning yes score prop about an hour before gametime and I’d expect the pattern to repeat itself over the next couple of hours before first pitch. Yes score prices will likely keep going up as we get close to the start of the game and if you can wait until right before first pitch you should be able to get a yes score 1st inning price of -105 or + 100, possibly even plus money.

World Series MVP

Luis Garcia 35/1

Jorge Soler started things off early for the Braves last night becoming the first player in MLB history to hit a home run in the first at bat of the World Series. The leadoff home run and a Braves win was enough to drop Soler to 13/1 to win MVP at DraftKings but he still trails behind teammates, Eddie Rosario, Freddie Freeman, Ozzie Albies, Austin Riley and Adam Duvall who all have lower odds. Soler was dropped from leadoff to 5th in the Braves lineup tonight on the account of the Braves facing a right-handed hitter but he should still get 4 at bats against the Astros tonight.

As far as other MVP bets, I still like Luis Garcia for the Astros at 35/1. Michael Brantley had three hits and Yordan Alvarez had a triple in Game 1, but nobody on the Astros really did anything of note. Astros will go into Game 3 either tied 1-1 or down 2-0 and Luis Garcia will get a chance to make an impact as the starting pitcher. I mentioned coming into the World Series the Astros bullpen had pitched 57% of the Astros postseason innings so far and that’s unsustainable. Last night the Astros bullpen had to work 7 innings so it will be up to Jose Urquidy and Luis Garcia to work as deep into the game as the can the next two games or else it might be a quick World Series.
