In the meantime, let's discuss a trio of college basketball games today receiving notable line movement...

5 p.m. ET: Clemson at Syracuse

This early evening ACC showdown features two unranked teams with impressive won-loss records who are looking to carry momentum into the conference tournament. Clemson (15-5) is riding a five-game win streak. Meanwhile, Syracuse (14-8) just upset North Carolina 72-70, winning outright as 2.5-point dogs. This line opened with Syracuse listed as a 2-point home favorite. Right off the bat, this line speaks volumes. Why is Syracuse favored if Clemson is the "better" team? The public is rushing to the window to back the Tigers, yet we've seen this line move from Syracuse -2 to -2.5. This signals sharp "fade the trendy dog" reverse line movement on the contrarian home favorite Orangemen. Ken Pom has Syracuse winning by one point. As a result, bettors wary of laying points may prefer backing Syracuse on the moneyline (-140). Syracuse has been fantastic at home this season (12-1). Clemson is just 2-4 on the road.

6:30 p.m. ET: Connecticut at Seton Hall

These Big East rivals are trending in opposite directions. Connecticut (12-6) has won two straight and four of their last five. On the flip side, Seton Hall (13-10) has dropped two straight, most recently falling to Butler 61-52 as 7.5-point favorites. This line opened with Seton Hall listed as a short 1-point home favorite. Respected money has pounded Connecticut, flipping the Huskies from + 1 to -1.5. This would fit the classic "dog to favorite" sharp line move system. Ken Pom has Seton Hall winning this game by one point, but he also has UConn ranked as the better team (28th vs 44th). This is a revenge game for the Huskies. They fell to Seton Hall 80-73 on February 6th. However, the Huskies didn't have star point guard James Bouknight for that game. He has since returned from injury and is averaging 20.5 PPG.

7 p.m. ET: NC State at Notre Dame

These ACC foes are at the bottom of the conference standings and desperate for a victory. NC State (12-9) has won four straight games, beating Pitt twice, Wake Forest and Virginia. On the other hand, Notre Dame (9-13) has dropped three straight, falling to Boston College, Louisville and Syracuse. This line opened with Notre Dame listed as a short 1-point home favorite. Right away, this opening line speaks volumes. If NC State is playing better as of late and also has a better won-loss record, then why is Notre Dame favored? If it looks too good to be true, it almost always is. The public is all over the Wolfpack, yet this line has moved further to the Irish (-1 to -2). This indicates sharp money buying low on Notre Dame. Ken Pom has the Irish winning this game by 3-points. He also has the Irish ranked higher (66th vs 71st). The Irish are 5-4 at home. The Wolfpack are 4-5 on the road.
