Bettors have a plethora of sweats to choose from today, including 12 NBA games and 10 NHL games. For an extensive breakdown of Tuesday's betting action, be sure to tune in to the VSiN Market Insights Podcast with Josh Appelbaum. It will be posted by 3 p.m. ET. I'll also be co-hosting Betting Across America with Mike Pritchard from 3 to 4 p.m. ET.

In the meantime, let's discuss where respected money is flowing for several NHL games tonight...

7 p.m. ET: Carolina Hurricanes (45-16-8) at Buffalo Sabres (25-34-11)

The Hurricanes own the third-best record in the NHL but have dropped two of their last three games, most recently falling to the Wild 3-1 as -160 home favorites. Meanwhile, the Sabres are similarly just 2-4 over their last six games. Buffalo just fell to Florida 5-3 as  180 dogs. This line opened with Carolina listed as a -235 road favorite and Buffalo a  210 home dog. Pros aren't scared off by the big number and have steamed Carolina up to -250. Big road favorites -200 or more are 75-25 (75%) this season. The Hurricanes also enjoy a rest advantage, having last played on Saturday while the Sabres last played on Monday. Buffalo will be playing their third game in five days. Carolina is 38-16 as a favorite and 20-10-4 on the road. Buffalo is 23-43 as a dog and just 13-17-6 at home. We could also be looking at a higher scoring game in this one. The total is 6 with the over juiced to -120, signaling a possible rise to 6.5.

8 p.m. ET: Minnesota Wild (43-20-5) at Nashville Predators (39-25-4)

Both of these Western Conference foes would make the postseason if the playoffs started today. Minnesota is a red-hot 9-1 over their last ten games. The Wild just beat the Capitals 5-1, winning outright as  115 road dogs. On the flip side, the Predators are 2-3 over their last five games and just fell to the Sabres 4-3, losing as -200 road favorites. This line opened with Minnesota listed as a short -110 road favorite and Nashville a  100 home dog. Pros have pounced on the Wild as such a reduced price, steaming Minnesota up from -110 to -120. Conference favorites off a win are 249-115 (68%) this season. Minnesota's edge comes on offense, averaging 3.7 GPG vs Nashville's 3.3 GPG. The total is 6 with even -110  juice. Both teams have been profitable to the over this season, with the Wild 38-27-3 to the over and the Predators 41-27 to the over.

10:30 p.m. ET: Edmonton Oilers (40-25-5) at San Jose Sharks (29-31-8)

These Pacific Division foes are trending in opposite directions. The Oilers currently hold a playoff position, have won four straight and just crushed the Ducks 6-1, taking care of business as -210 road favorites. Meanwhile, the Sharks are out of the playoff pictures, have lost three straight and just fell to the Stars 5-4 as  135 home dogs. This line opened with Edmonton listed as a -170 road favorite and San Jose a  150 home dog. Sharps aren't outsmarting themselves on this one. They're laying the chalk with the better and hotter team, steaming Edmonton up from -170 to -185. Favorites off a win are 408-210 (66%) this season. Road favorites -175 or more are 111-40 (74%). Edmonton is 33-16 as a favorite and 17-13-5 on the road. San Jose is 16-33 as a dog and 16-15-4 at home. The Oilers'  big advantage is their offense. Edmonton is averaging 3.6 GPG compared to just 2.7 GPG for San Jose. The total is 6.5 with the over juiced to -120, indicating a possible rise to 7.
