Until then, let's take a look at a few college hoops games today receiving notable sharp action...
5 p.m. ET: Baylor at West Virginia
This early evening matchup features the top two Big 12 powerhouses going head-to-head. Baylor (18-1, ranked 3rd) just suffered its first loss of the season, falling to Kansas 71-58 as 4.5-point favorites. Now they travel to Morgantown to face a West Virginia (17-6, ranked 6th) team that has won three straight. This line opened with Baylor listed as a 4-point road favorite. The public sees two highly ranked teams and is leaning on West Virginia plus the points at home, yet we've seen this line rise further toward Baylor (-4 to -4.5). This signals some respected money laying the points and buying low on Baylor to bounce back after their first loss. Ken Pom has Baylor winning by five points. He has Baylor ranked 3rd in the country and WVU 19th.
7 p.m. ET: Xavier at Georgetown
Both of these Big East rivals are playing well as of late. Xavier (13-5) has won two of its last three and is coming off a huge 77-69 upset victory over then 13th-ranked Creighton. On the flip side, Georgetown (8-11) may have a losing record but the Hoyas have won three of their last four games, beating DePaul, Seton Hall and Butler. This line opened at a true pick'em. Respected money has gotten down on Xavier, driving the Musketeers from a pick to a 1.5-point road favorite. Ken Pom has Xavier winning by two points. He has Xavier ranked 55th in the country and Georgetown 88th. If you're wary of laying the short spread, Xavier is roughly -125 on the moneyline. We've also seen some over steam show up, pushing the total from 144 to 147.5.
8 p.m. ET: Duke at Georgia Tech
This ACC showdown features two bubble teams looking to pad their postseason resumes. Duke (11-9) just fell to Louisville 80-73, losing outright as 5-point favorites. The loss snapped a four-game winning streak for the Blue Devils. On the flip side, Georgia Tech (13-8) is riding a four-game winning streak, beating Syracuse, Virginia Tech, Miami and Pittsburgh. This line opened with Georgia Tech listed as a short 1-point home favorite. The public is all over Duke as a dog, yet we've seen this line rise from Georgia Tech -1 to -1.5. Some shops are inching to -2. This signals some sharp reverse line movement fading the trendy dog and backing the home contrarian favorite Yellow Jackets. Ken Pom has Georgia Tech winning by three points. He has Georgia Tech ranked higher as well (30th vs 35th). Georgia Tech is 10-3 at home this season. Duke is 3-4 on the road.
9 p.m. ET: Kentucky at Mississippi
Both of these SEC opponents are looking to bounce back from tough losses. Kentucky (8-14) just fell to Florida 71-67 as 2-point home favorites, which snapped a three-game winning streak. Meanwhile, Mississippi (13-10) has dropped two of their last three, including a disappointing 75-70 loss to Vanderbilt as 10-point favorites. This line opened with Ole Miss listed as a short 1-point home favorite. The public is split down the middle and doesn't know who to back. But sharps seem to be siding with the Rebels and we've seen this line rise from Ole Miss -1 to -2. Ken Pom has Ole Miss winning by one point, so the Rebels may be more appealing as a moneyline play. Ole Miss is 8-4 at home. Kentucky is 4-6 on the road. The total is 130. Both teams have been fantastic to the under this season, with Kentucky 13-9 and Ole Miss 17-6.
