The Gonzaga Bulldogs have regained the No. 1 spot in the AP Poll and will look to show they deserve to stay there on Thursday against San Francisco.

San Francisco Dons vs. Gonzaga Bulldogs (-15.5, 160.5)

(stats as of Wednesday morning)

San Francisco is tasked with trying to slow down a Bulldogs offense that has scored at least 110 points in three straight games and is second in the country in points scored on a per-possession basis.

The Dons are 19th in the country in points allowed on a per-possession basis in road games and 32nd in rebound rate.

The offensive success of the Bulldogs has been largely due to getting the ball inside, ranking first in the country in field goal and 2-point shooting percentage, but San Francisco is strong offensively as well, ranking ninth in 2-point shooting percentage and 37th in overall field goal shooting percentage.

An outright win may not be in the cards for San Francisco on Thursday, but after outscoring their first three conference opponents by a combined 92 points, the Dons are primed to give Gonzaga their first true test in conference play thus season.

Pick: San Francisco + 15.5

A Numbers Game: Always compare odds with games behind, remaining schedule, and strength of schedule. i.e. Braves at +300 offer value just 1 game behind the Mets.

The Lombardi Line: It may be a good time to buy low on NFL teams that have the talent, but haven't executed in the first three weeks.
