Peterson: Best bet for North Carolina vs. Purdue

The state of Connecticut will be treated to a battle of ranked teams on Saturday with North Carolina and Purdue coming in as teams piling up the points on offense.

Purdue ranks second in the country in points scored on a per-possession basis and has scored at least 92 points in each of the first three games of the season.

On the other end, North Carolina has scored at least 83 points in each of the first three games of the season and rank 27th in the country in points scored on a per-possession basis, with five different players averaging at least 10 points per game.

The Tar Heels have been unable to hold teams on defense, ranking 224th in points allowed on a per-possession basis, while Purdue is 61st and is forcing a turnover on 11.1% of their defensive possessions, which is 351st out of 358 DI teams

Purdue has played 30 of their 35 neutral court games since the start of the 2016-17 season over the total and these two high octane offense will get in another shoot out on Saturday.
