Best NHL Player Prop Bets for Tuesday, February 28th

Today’s NHL schedule features 10 games and there are plenty of player prop betting opportunities. Here are two of my favorite plus-money player prop bets for Tuesday, February 28th. All odds via DraftKings Sportsbook.

Jack Quinn Over 0.5 Points (+145)

Rookie Jack Quinn has had his ups and downs this season, but he’s looked so good recently that he was head coach Don Granato’s first choice to replace forward Alex Tuch (out week-to-week) on the Sabres’ top line.

Quinn has put up six points (two goals and four assists) in seven games since Feb. 13th and an increase in ice time should do him some good. Quinn has played 15-plus minutes in nine out of his 51 games played so far this season and he’s put up 10 points in those nine games.

It’s not a given that Granato will give Quinn that much ice time, with the 21-year-old expected to slot back in alongside Tage Thompson and Jeff Skinner on the top line, it’s certainly possible.

Oliver Bjorkstrand Over 0.5 Points (+115)

Between 2017-18 and 2021-22, Oliver Bjorkstrand scored on 13.2 percent of his shots and produced approximately 2.5 points per 60 minutes in all situations. However, since joining the Kraken, Bjorkstrand has scored on just 7.7 percent of his shots and has only generated two points per 60.

Bjorkstrand ranks third on the team in shots and fourth in expected goals (per 60 minutes). He even has a spot on the top power play unit and the Blues, on top of one of the worst penalty killing teams in the NHL, rank 27th in goals against and 30th in shots against (per 60) since the All-Star break.

Seattle is holding onto the final wild card spot in the Western Conference and things in St. Louis have continued to spiral since the organization decided to ship out two of its best players earlier this month.
