Market Report for Monday, April 25th
There’s just one game scheduled for Monday, and it’s a good one.
Let’s look at things from a betting perspective.
Philadelphia Flyers (+ 120) at Chicago Blackhawks (-140)
I’m just kidding, it’s not a good one. The Chicago Blackhawks will host the Philadelphia Flyers in the lone game on Monday. Even fans of the Flyers and Blackhawks don’t anything to do with this game. The Flyers hosted the Penguins on Sunday, and picked up a 4-1 win, but the latter was playing their sixth game in nine days and third-string goaltender Louis Domingue was in goal. It was just their fourth win in their last 15 games. The Blackhawks, meanwhile, have only earned four wins in their last 19 games, and they've allowed at least four goals in 10 of 16 games since the trade deadline. Philadelphia will be a tired group, and there’s a chance Martin Jones will start again. The Blackhawks aren’t in a great spot either, though, as this will be the fourth game in six days. According to my model, the home team should be priced around -145, but even if I could justify a wager, I don't have much interest in making one on either side here.
Notes: Defenceman Rasmus Ristolainen, forward Cam Atkinson and goaltender Carter Hart are not expected to play in any of the Flyers' remaining games.
