NHL Bets Today: Odds, predictions and picks for Friday, November 18th
Recap: Thursday’s bets resulted in a small profit, but a big disappointment. A late 2-1 lead gave the Jets a great chance to potentially cover the puck line, but instead, they let Anaheim come right back and tie the game. Winnipeg still won, but the night wasn’t as profitable as it could have been. Things could be worse, though.
Friday: There is just one game scheduled on Friday.
Friday’s Bets: There are no bets currently.

I’m tracking all my plays on Betstamp: a third party bet tracking app. The bets reveal themselves after the games start. I keep my own personal records as well and they may differ slightly from Betstamp due to several factors, but for the most part, it should line up closely.
All game lines via DraftKings Sportsbook and BetMGM Sportsbook, but I will sometimes use the consensus odds from the VSiN NHL Odds page if it is a better price and widely available. All recommended bets will be accompanied by recommended stake size. All stats via Evolving Hockey and Natural Stat Trick.
Los Angeles Kings (-115) at Vancouver Canucks (-105)
This is the first game of a back-to-back for the Kings, who finish up their four-game road trip in Seattle on Saturday. Los Angeles has won five of their last six games, and eight of their last 12. The Canucks, meanwhile, are returning home after an unsuccessful five-game road trip. Vancouver has only won two games at home so far this season, and my NHL betting model suggests their chances of winning Friday’s game are, at best, about 46.5 percent (+115). That means there won’t be any value in betting on the home team, here. There could be some value on the road team, if Jonathan Quick starts in goal, but I’m playing it safe and going with the assumption that Cal Petersen will take on the Canucks so that Quick will be fresh for Seattle. If Quick and Thatcher Demko are the starting goaltenders, the Kings should be priced around -125.
Starting goaltenders: Cal Petersen and Thatcher Demko are expected to start in goal for their respective clubs.
