Reich was 44-33-1 in 4 1/2 seasons as the Colts head coach. In three playoff games, Reich’s Colts were 1-2.

After bringing in quarterback Matt Ryan this offseason, expectations for Indianapolis were high. But this season’s 3-5-1 record and three consecutive losses, including a 26-3 trouncing at the hands of the Patriots on Sunday, led to Reich’s firing.

Jeff Saturday’s Bona Fides

Saturday played center for the Colts from 1999-2011, many of those years snapping the ball to Peyton Manning.  He was named to six Pro Bowls and earned All-Pro honors twice. Saturday won a Super Bowl with the Colts in 2006 and after retiring, was inducted into the Colts ring of honor in 2015.

In recent years, on top of his role as an analyst for ESPN, Saturday has been a consultant for the Colts.  His only football coaching experience is at the high school level, where he coached his son’s team at Hebron Christian High in Georgia.
