Top NFL Survivor picks for Week 14

There are only five weeks left in an NFL season that has simply flown by. Those that are still alive in Survivor pools have to feel like it has been an incredibly long season, though, as each week brings immense drama and stress. At this point, if you’re still alive, you have an outstanding shot at the money, but still have to choose wisely because a lot of the league’s top teams are no longer available.

GAMES TO CONSIDER

Cincinnati Bengals (-6) over Cleveland Browns

The Bengals have emerged as one of the AFC’s best once again, as they’ve figured out the Joe Burrow protection issues and have rounded out other parts of the team as well. The concern here is that Kevin Stefanski has Zac Taylor’s number. The Browns have won five in a row over the Bengals and have scored 33.2 points per game in the process. If Deshaun Watson looks like he did last week, that won’t happen, as Cleveland showed two defensive touchdowns and had a punt return touchdown.

The Bengals do seem to be rounding into form and find themselves as one of the biggest Week 14 favorites, so they have to be considered, but it seems like there are some better games on the board.

Kansas City Chiefs (-9.5) over Denver Broncos

History was made last week when the Bengals beat the Chiefs, dealing Patrick Mahomes his first loss in the month of December since 2018. At least the stage is set for Kansas City to bounce back quickly against a really awful Denver team completely overmatched on the sidelines every single week. Andy Reid vs. Nathaniel Hackett might as well be a heavyweight against a women’s flyweight with the way Hackett’s first season as head coach has gone.

The Chiefs have scored at least 20 points in all but one of their 12 games. The Broncos have scored at least 20 points just twice this season. Maybe you don’t like the Chiefs to cover, but it sure seems like they’re going to win this game and keep your Survivor entry moving forward.

THE PICK

Dallas Cowboys (-17) over Houston Texans

I don’t know how many entries have the Cowboys left as an option, but they are the world’s most obvious Survivor pick this week. Dallas is the biggest favorite of the NFL season to this point and Houston is one of the worst teams we’ve seen in the league in a few seasons. The Texans are pathetic on offense, bad on defense and really don’t have a good coaching staff.

It doesn’t matter if it is Kyle Allen or Davis Mills, turnovers are coming, as the Texans have committed at least two turnovers in each of the last five games. They have seven turnovers in the last two games and haven’t forced more than two in any game this season. They were outgained by almost 180 yards in their only win of the season. This is an incredibly bad team going up against one of the NFL’s stronger squads.

If you don’t have Dallas, I really do think Cincinnati slays the mighty dragon that has been the Browns, but the Cowboys are an automatic pick if you have them.
