Browns 2023 schedule filled with toss-up games

The Cleveland Browns have not had consecutive winning seasons since 1986-89 and cannot accomplish that feat in 2023. However, what they can do is show some signs of improvement with a schedule that is friendly enough to give them the chance at their second playoff berth since 2002. This will be a make-or-break year for head coach Kevin Stefanski, as he and the rest of the offensive coaching staff got a pass in Deshaun Watson’s first season with the team, but the leash is much shorter this year, especially after defensive changes that included the firing of Joe Woods.

Cleveland Browns schedule this year

The Browns have an early bye week, which could prove problematic with trips in the latter portion of the season to Denver and Los Angeles in back-to-back weeks, plus a Week 7 trip to Seattle. The schedule is front-loaded with four of the first five games at home and the other is just a short trek to Pittsburgh in Week 2 for Monday Night Football. An early bye week could also be tricky as the team assesses Stefanski and the coaching staff with a less rusty Watson at the helm.
