Bills 2023 strength of schedule one of the toughest in the NFL

The Buffalo Bills rolled to a 13-3 record and won the AFC East by 4.5 games, with the suspended game from the Damar Hamlin incident not required to be completed. As dominant as the Bills were in the regular season, they struggled in the playoffs, narrowly beating the Dolphins 34-31 during Wild Card Weekend and then falling well short in a 27-10 Divisional Round loss to the Bengals. As one of the shorter shots to win the Super Bowl, the team is poised for another good year, but will have to contend with a much stronger AFC East Division.

Buffalo Bills schedule this year

The Bills draw a tough AFC East slate with six games against quality opponents to go along with facing the Philadelphia Eagles and the rest of the NFC East. They once again play the Kansas City Chiefs and will do so at Arrowhead Stadium with the rough-and-tumble AFC West also on the schedule. For first-place games, the Bills draw a road trip to Cincinnati and also host the rebuilding Buccaneers, who won the NFC South at 8-8, and the up-and-coming Jaguars. Buffalo’s Week 8 game in late October will be in London at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The 12 games prior to the bye week, including a trip to London with no bye, make for a brutal schedule for Buffalo. At least they have a bye prior to the game against the Chiefs on the road, but this is definitely no picnic for one of the AFC’s top contenders.
