Here are our favorite NBA prop bets for Wednesday, May 3:

Philadelphia 76ers at Boston Celtics (-7.5, 217) – Game 2

James Harden put the Sixers on his back and carried them to a Game 1 victory over the Celtics. With Joel Embiid sidelined with a knee injury, Harden had 45 points and six assists to give Philadelphia a 1-0 series lead. Embiid will be returning to the lineup for Game 2, so Harden will no longer be the focal point of the Sixers offense. However, it’s hard to see him just going away completely as a scorer.

Harden’s total for 3s made in Game 2 is at 2.5 and that’s a number he should go over with relative ease. The 33-year-old hit seven triples in Game 1, and he also hit at least three triples in three of the four games the Sixers played against the Celtics this year. The reality is that Boston is one of the more aggressive teams in the league when it comes to sending help at Embiid. So, if the big man can get the ball out of his hands quickly, that should open up some open shots for his teammates. That will give Harden the chance to bury some catch-and-shoot triples in Game 2.

The Sixers likely won’t completely turn away from what worked in Game 1 either. Harden had a lot of success when attacking Al Horford in pick-and-roll plays, and Philadelphia would be wise to let the 10-time NBA All-Star continue to do so moving forward. If Harden does get to run that action in this game, that should mean that he’ll be able to get to his patented stepback rather often.

Bet: Harden Over 2.5 Made 3s (-130)
