Saturday Betting Recaps

Welcome to our daily recap of the sports betting results from the day before.
Saturday had plenty of sports betting action, including two MLB double-headers and the Giants-Padres playing a neutral-site game in Mexico City that turned into the Padres’ winning 16-11 in a slugfest at the high altitude that flew Over the high total of 15 runs. The NHL had three elimination games while the NBA started the second with the Nuggets hosting the Suns even though the Warriors and Kings don’t play Game 7 of their first-round series on Sunday.
Here are the sport-by-sport recaps, including the first game of the XFL playoffs and the start of USFL Week 3.

NBA: Nuggets (-4.5) blew out Suns 125-107 in Game 1 of the Western Conference semifinals (went Over betting total of 227.5 points). Faves lead 29-14 SU and 25-18 ATS (58.1%). Home teams lead 27-16 SU and 25-17-1 ATS (59.5%). Overs took a 22-21 lead. The “zig-zag” didn’t apply since both teams won prior games, but it’s still 18-15-1 ATS in the 1st round which will wrap up with Sunday’s Warriors-Kings game.

NHL: Faves went 2-1 with the Rangers (-150 in 5-2 win vs. Devils to force Game 7) and Oilers (-165 in 5-4 win at Kings to win their series 4-2) winning as chalk. The upset was by the Maple Leafs (+100 in 2-1 OT win at Lightning to win series 4-2). Road teams led 2-1. Overs 2-1.

More NHL: Underdogs still lead 24-22 overall in 1st round with 1 pick-’em. Road teams improved to impressive 29-18. Overs improved slim lead to 25-22. The "zig-zag" went 2-1 with wins by Maple Leafs and Rangers after losing prior game but a loss by the Kings, improving to 22-17.

MLB: Faves dominated 13-3 w/ith upsets by the Royals (+200 at Twins), Phillies (+115 at Astros) and Diamondbacks (+104 at Rockies). Road teams led 8-7 with the Padres beating the Giants 16-11 at a neutral site in Mexico City. Overs led 9-7. On the season, faves lead 254-150 with 7 PKs. Home teams lead 208-202 with 1 neutral site. Overs lead 199-190-21 (51.2%) with 1 no-action.

XFL: Arlington Renegades upset Houston Roughnecks 26-11 as 8.5-point road underdogs and +310 on the money line (stayed Under total of 41 points). Including regular season, XFL faves dipped to 19-18-2 ATS with 2 PKs. Road teams lead 20-19-2 ATS. Over/Unders back to 500 at 20-20-1.

USFL: Houston Gamblers (-7.5) rallied to beat Memphis Showboats 30-26, but didn’t cover (Over 42.5). Earlier, New Orleans Breakers (+6.5) upset Birmingham Stallions 45-31 (Over 48.5). On the season, faves lead 6-4 SU but dogs took 6-4 ATS lead. Overs took 6-4 lead.
