Monday Betting Recaps

Dogs were barking again on Monday as the Nuggets upset the Lakers to sweep the NBA Western Conference Finals and dogs also went 8-3 in MLB (with one game closing pick-’em).
What about the NHL? Well, it technically wasn’t an upset as the Hurricanes-Panthers game closed pick-’em, but the Panthers won to go up 3-0 despite being the pre-series underdog as the No. 8 seed in the Eastern Conference.
Let’s get to the specific details with our nightly betting recaps, and then update the spread and total records in each sport.

NBA: Nuggets beat Lakers 113-111 to complete 4-0 sweep in Western Conference Finals. The ViewFromVegas is they did it as 3.5-point road dogs and +140 on the money line (stayed just Under betting total of 226 points). Road/dog/Under all went 1-0 on the night. NHL: Panthers shut out Hurricanes 1-0 to take a commanding 3-0 lead in the Eastern Conference Finals. The ViewFromVegas is the game closed a consensus pick-’em (stayed way Under 5.5 goals). Home team & Under went 1-0. The "zig-zag" (aka "loser of last") went 0-1 as the Hurricanes lost the previous game. 

More NHL: Faves/dogs still .500 at 2-2 this round with the 1 PK, but dogs still lead 40-35 overall in the playoffs with now 3 pick-’ems. Home teams took 3-2 lead this round, but road teams still lead 43-35 overall. Unders improved to 4-1 this round, so Overs’ lead is down to 39-38-1 overall. MLB: Dogs went 8-3 with Astros-Brewers closing pick-’em. The biggest upsets were by the Diamondbacks (+190 at Phillies) and Reds (+168 vs. Cardinals). Home teams went 7-5.
