Mr. Ed's Keeneland Play of the Day 10/14

By Ed Sehon  ( handicapper)

Note: In anticipation of his upcoming comprehensive coverage of the Breeders’ Cup World Championship (Friday-Saturday, Nov. 4 and 5 at Keeneland), regular Team Tuley's Thoroughbred Takes member and VSiN handicapper Ed Sehon (aka Mr. Ed) will share his Play of the Day throughout the regular Keeneland fall meeting.

Mr. Ed’s Keeneland Play of the Day (10/14)

Race 10 (5:48 p.m. ET/2:48 p.m. PT)

First, yesterday: As THE man says, “Cashing tickets is what it’s all about” -- and I sure enjoyed cashing my first of the meet, even at 1-4 (Tuley was not impressed). Today’s pick is #1 Master Game (3-1 morning line). Our choice, a $300,000 gelded son of Mastery, is trained by veteran Mark Casse and retains up-and-coming rider Adam Beschizza. Big class drop, of some concern, more than offset by superior Beyer Speed Figures, recent bullet works, return to dirt and favorable inside post. Game, set, master of this domain. Wager: Win.
