We have just about reached the midpoint of the 2021 NFL season and have a new consensus Super Bowl favorite and clear MVP front-runner. The Buffalo Bills are listed as the 5/1 favorite to win the Lombardi Trophy at Super Bowl LVI and Josh Allen is the top choice to win the league’s Most Valuable Player Award at %plussign% 250 per DraftKings Sportsbook.
The futures odds are always in a state of flux based on the results, but yesterday’s loss from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers pushed the Bills into the clear favorite for football’s ultimate prize.

Super Bowl LVI Odds
The soft upcoming schedule for the Bills has the potential to lower their odds even further. With the Jaguars, Jets and Colts over the next three games, it seems very likely that the Bills will be 8-2 going into Week 12, which should put them in the driver’s seat for home-field advantage and the No. 1 seed in the AFC.
The Ravens and Chiefs are both listed at 12/1 and Baltimore’s price is likely to lower with games against the Vikings, Dolphins and Bears the next three weeks. The back part of Baltimore’s schedule is tough, but they should get right in the short-term. The Chiefs are still trying to figure things out, but are clearly still getting respect in the futures market.
The Titans are 16/1 with a three-game lead in the AFC South, but the Derrick Henry injury and the uncertain prognosis for a return will temper their expectations for a little while.
Otherwise, there aren’t a lot of clear Super Bowl contenders in the AFC. The other short prices come from the more competitive NFC, where the Buccaneers are 6/1 and the Rams are %plussign% 650. Los Angeles generated some buzz early Monday with a trade for Von Miller from the Broncos.
The Packers, Cardinals and Cowboys are all 10/1 to start the week.
NFL MVP Odds
Allen was already the favorite or co-favorite for the MVP across most of the market, but he looks to be the leader of the AFC’s best team.
The Bills have not had the MVP winner since 1991, when Thurman Thomas and Jim Kelly finished first and second in the voting. With a very soft upcoming schedule for the Bills that features the Jaguars, Jets and Colts over the next three weeks, so Allen’s 5/1 price may be coming down based on his performances in those games.
Matthew Stafford, Tom Brady and Kyler Murray are all lined at 6/1 at DraftKings as Week 9 gets underway. Dak Prescott, who missed last week’s game, is %plussign% 650.
Unfortunately, you can cross Henry off the list, as his 40/1 price will continue to dwindle in light of his foot injury. Henry was the only league-wide hope for a player other than a quarterback, so the award will go to the most important position on the field for the ninth straight season and the 14th time in 15 years.
