In the meantime, let's discuss several College Basketball games receiving sharp action tonight...
7 p.m. ET: Charleston at Hofstra
This CAA grudge match may not be garnering much public attention. But wiseguys have taken notice. Charleston (16-13 SU, 15-13-1 ATS) is coming off a 80-79 loss to Drexel in which they covered as 3-point road dogs. On the flip side, Hofstra (20-10 SU, 15-13 ATS) is 7-1 over their last eight games and just beat William & Mary 83-67, failing to cover as 18-point home favorites. This line opened with Hofstra listed as a 5-point home favorite. Sharps have laid the points with Hofstra, pushing the line up from 5 to 5.5. Hofstra holds the edge defensively (72 PPG allowed by 77 PPG allowed) and in the shooting department (47% vs 44%). Hofstra is 11-2 at home this season. Ken Pom has Hofstra winning by six points (83-77). Hofstra beat Charleston 76-73 back on January 27th.
9 p.m. ET: Baylor at Texas
This late night showdown features a pair of ranked teams fighting for supremacy atop the Big 12 conference standings. Baylor (24-5 SU, 15-13-1 ATS) is ranked 10th, has won three straight and just took down Kansas 80-70, covering as 3-point home favorites. Similarly, Texas (21-8 SU, 12-16-1 ATS) is ranked 20th, has won two straight and just edged West Virginia 82-81, failing to cover as 3.5-point road favorites. This game opened at a pick'em. Respected money has sided with Baylor, pushing the Bears from a pick'em to a 1.5-point road favorite. Baylor holds the edge on offense (77 PPG vs 69 PPG), shooting (47% vs 45%) and rebounding (37 RPG vs 33 RPG). Ken Pom has Baylor winning by one point (68-67). Baylor is -120 on the moneyline. When two ranked teams face off, the favorite is 43-30 ATS (59%) this season. These teams met up on February 12th and Baylor won 80-63.
9 p.m. ET: San Diego State at Wyoming
Two of the best teams in the Mountain West go head-to-head in this heavyweight clash. San Diego State (18-7 SU, 14-11 ATS) is 6-1 over their last seven games and just crushed San Jose State 77-52, covering as 21-point home favorites. Similarly, Wyoming (23-5 SU, 16-9-2 ATS) is 8-2 over their last ten and just edged Nevada 74-61, covering as 7-point home favorites. This line opened with San Diego State listed as a short 2-point road favorite. We've seen this line dip slightly from 2 to 1.5, signaling respected money grabbing the points with the home dog. Wyoming holds the edge on offense (75 PPG vs 66 PPG) and in shooting (47% vs 44%). Wyoming is a perfect 13-0 at home this season. San Diego State is 3-5 on the road. This qualifies as a Ken Pom "sound the alarm" play. Ken Pom has Wyoming winning the game by one point (64-63), which provides actionable value on Wyoming at a dog price.
