Sunday Best Bet Results
Sunday was a little bit of a setback in the Tuley’s Takes home office as we lost our Best Bet on the 76ers +6.5 vs. the Celtics and Red Sox First 5 Innings +100 vs. the Cardinals.
The 0-2 day dropped our record to 19-12-6 (61.3%) so far in May for a net profit of $897.12 based on $100 flat bets, according to the
VSiN PRO Picks page. As I wrote last week, we’re especially proud of that winning percentage considering several of those wins were on dogs at plus-money. Normally, at -110, those dozen losses would add up to -13.2 units and a net profit of just 5.8 units when subtracted from the 19 wins, but we’re more than 4 units ahead of that thanks to all the plus-money winners.
Let’s look for more Best Bets on Monday’s sports betting schedule. I’m passing on the NHL game even though we’ve done well with the Kraken (and Golden Knights) as dogs, but the Stars are in the zig-zag role in Game 7. The NBA has the night off (note: see tomorrow’s version of this column as I hinted at liking the Lakers and Heat plus the points in individual games of the conference finals during my regular Sunday night appearance on “The Greg Peterson Experience” with guest host Jeff Parles), but I have 2 plays in MLB.
MLB Monday Best Bets
Giants First 5 Innings -110 vs. Phillies: This is an mini-anti-swagger play against the Phillies, who just had their 5-game winning streak snapped by the Rockies in a 4-0 shutout. We also get Alex Wood (0-0, 2.45 ERA) vs. Bailey Falter (0-6, 5.75 ERA).
Brewers First 5 Innings -110 at Cardinals: This is partly a play against the Cardinals, who had to play on Sunday Night Baseball and then travel back to St. Louis to face the Brewers, who are on a 3-game winning streak. We also get Freddy Peralta (4-2, 3.32 ERA) vs. Jack Flaherty (2-4, 6.18 ERA).
