April 2, 2023 12:54 AM

1:10 p,m. ET: Detroit Tigers at Tampa Bay Rays

The Rays (2-0) have taken the first two games of this three game set, winning the opener 4-0 are -240 home favorites and winning again on Saturday 12-2 as -180 home favorites. In this afternoon's series finale, Detroit (0-2) sends out lefty Joey Wentz (2-2, 3.03 ERA in 2022) while Tampa Bay counters with fellow southpaw Jeffrey Springs (9-5, 2.46 ERA). This line opened with the Rays listed as a -200 home favorite and the Tigers a +180 road dog. Pros have sided with the Rays to complete the sweep, steaming Tampa Bay up from -200 to -215. Wiseguys have also leaned under, as the total is 7.5 with the under juiced to -115. Historically, we've seen unders cash at a higher rate in domes or closed roof stadiums compared to outdoor ballparks.

1:35 p.m. ET: San Francisco Giants at New York Yankees

This is the rubber game of a three-game Interleague series set. The Yankees (1-1) took the opener 5-0, cashing as -170 home favorites. Then the Giants (1-1) bounced back with a 7-5 win on Saturday, cashing as +125 road dogs. In this afternoon's rematch, San Francisco hands the ball to Ross Stripling (10-4, 3.01 ERA) and New York sends out righty Jhony Brito, who is making his MLB debut. This line opened with the Yankees listed as a -125 home favorite and San Francisco a +115 road dog. Pros have laid the chalk with the Yankees, steaming New York up from -125 to -140. The Yankees have value as an interleague favorite, with the lack of familiarity benefiting the "better" team as determined by the betting odds. The total is 8.5. The forecast calls for low 50s with 10-15 MPH winds blowing out to right center.
