Here are our favorite MLB prop bets for Sunday, March 2:

New York Mets (-115, 8) at Miami Marlins

The Marlins will be hoping to earn a split in their four-game series with the Mets by picking up a win today. And all things considered, it’s hard not to like the value on the home team today. This will be the highly anticipated debut of Japanese starter Kodai Senga, but with all that excitement comes a lot of nerves. And for as lousy as Miami is, the team wasn’t quite as bad against right-handed pitching last year. With that in mind, there’s a pretty decent chance the Marlins do a bit of damage against the 30-year-old here. Meanwhile, Trevor Rogers will be on the bump for the Marlins in this game. Rogers had a rough 2022 season, but he showed the world what he’s capable of in an electric 2021 rookie season. He has nasty stuff and has made some tweaks to his mechanics. This could be a bounce-back year for the lefty, who we like to start the season with a bang.

Bet: Marlins ML (+105)

Los Angeles Angels (-148, 8) at Oakland Athletics

The Athletics are sending Ken Waldichuk to the mound today, and he should be able to turn in a good outing for Oakland. Last season, Waldichuk threw seven shutout innings in an October 5th start against this Angels team, and that was the best performance the lefty had all year. And given Los Angeles’ struggles against left-handed pitching, it isn’t all that surprising. In 2022, only four teams in baseball had a lower wRC+ against lefties than the Angels did. With that said, there’s some value to be had in backing the Athletics today. Waldichuk is probably the most impressive pitcher in this rotation, and he’ll likely miss a lot of bats against Los Angeles. We’ll just need the Athletics to produce a bit at the plate, and the good news is that Tyler Anderson is a pitcher that has historically struggled on the road.

Bet: Athletics ML (+138)

Colorado Rockies at San Diego Padres (-215, 8)

Ha-Seong Kim is already seeing the ball extremely well this season, as he is 4 for 7 with two doubles through two games. Now, Kim gets to face Austin Gomber, who he has hit rather hard early in his career. In nine at-bats against the lefty, Kim is 5 for 9 with five doubles. And overall, Kim is a player that has hit lefties well all throughout his career — in both the majors and Korea. Last season, Kim hit .270 in his 159 at-bats against southpaws, which was a heck of a lot better than his .243 batting average against righties. There’s quite a bit of juice on him to get a hit today, but we’re willing to drink it for this matchup.

Bet: Kim Over 0.5 Hits (-165)
