Greg Peterson posts his daily handicapped MLB lines for every game every day. Based on his lines vs. the actual lines, here is where Peterson sees value on today’s menu. Peterson also does a daily podcast, The Baseball Betting Show, on which he breaks down every game every day.

Cubs vs. Nationals Total 9. Greg’s Total 9.6.

The Cubs are hitting .289 on the road, the best mark in the National League, while being tied for second in the National League in runs per game away from home with 5.3. Cubs starter Jameson Taillon is making his first start since April 15, which will leave a bullpen that is 19th in ERA exposed for more innings than normal while Nationals starter Patrick Corbin has given up at least three runs in all six of his starts this season.

Braves vs. Marlins Total 8.5. Greg’s Total 7.3.

The Marlins are last in the National League in runs per game, but starter Jesus Luzardo has kept them in games with a 3.48 ERA and three runs or fewer allowed in nine of the past 10 starts, dating back to 2022. Dylan Dodd gets his third MLB start for the Braves. He has a 3.36 ERA with two walks per nine innings as a minor league standout last season.

Mariners vs. Athletics (+195). Greg’s Line: Athletics +168.

Though the Athletics have the worst record in baseball, their offense has averaged 4.8 runs per game in the past nine games, and they have brought Korean Baseball Organization starter Drew Rucinski back to the United States. The Mariners’ offense has struggled to put the ball in play with their .218 batting average—last among the 30 MLB teams.
