Giants vs. Diamondbacks Total 8. Greg’s Total 7.2.

Diamondbacks starter Zac Gallen has the best strikeout-to-walk rate of any qualifying pitcher in the National League. He has been exceptional in his last six starts with just four runs allowed and 54 strikeouts to two walks in that span. Giants starter Anthony DeSclafani has the lowest walks per nine innings rate of any qualifying National League starter with just two earned runs allowed in 20 2/3 across three starts on the road this season.

Rangers (-140) vs. Athletics. Greg’s Line: Rangers -212.

The Rangers lead the league in runs per game with 6.3 while the Athletics have an MLB-worst 7.26 ERS—a full 1.60 higher than any other team in the league. Though Rangers starter Jon Gray has a FIP of 5.63 with his strikeouts per nine innings rate at 6.5. Athletics starter JP Sears allows 2.5 home runs per nine innings with a 5.64 FIP. He’s backed up by an offense that is 29th in home batting average.

Cubs vs. Twins Total 7.5. Greg’s Total 8.2.

The Cubs lead the National League in road batting average with 5.2 runs per game away from home. Though Cubs starter Hayden Wesneski had allowed just one run in four of his last five starts, he has a fielding independent more than a point higher than his 3.93 ERA and just six strikeouts per nine innings.
