In the meantime, let’s examine where smart money is leaning for today’s MLB slate…

8:40 p.m. ET: Milwaukee Brewers (-165, 11.5) at Colorado Rockies

The Brewers (18-10) just took two of three at home against the Angels, but lost Sunday’s series finale 3-0 as -120 home favorites. On the flip side, the Rockies (9-20) just dropped two of three at home against the Diamondbacks but won the series finale 12-4, cashing as +120 home dogs. In tonight’s series opener, Milwaukee hands the ball to righty Freddy Peralta (3-2, 3.77 ERA) and Colorado counters with fellow righty Ryan Feltner (2-2, 4.68 ERA). This line opened with the Brewers listed as a -150 road favorite and the Rockies a +135 home dog. Pros have laid the chalk with Milwaukee, steaming the Brewers up from -150 to -165. Milwaukee is receiving 83% of bets and 85% of money, a heavy combination of both Pro and Joe support. When both teams are coming off a day off, as is the case here, the favorite is 31-11 (74%) this season and 161-76 (68%) since 2022. Non-division road favorites are 78-40 (66%) this season. The Brewers are 11-6 as a favorite, 13-7 against righties and 9-4 on the road. The Rockies are 6-15 as a dog, 5-14 against righties and 4-9 at home.

9:40 p.m. ET: Cincinnati Reds at San Diego Padres (-190, 8.5)

The Padres (16-14) won last night’s series opener 8-3, taking care of business as -220 home favorites. In tonight’s rematch, the Reds (12-17) send out righty Graham Ashcraft (2-0, 2.10 ERA) and the Padres turn to fellow righty Michael Wacha (2-1, 6.75 ERA). This line opened with San Diego listed as a -175 home favorite and Cincinnati a +160 road dog. Pros aren’t scared off by the expensive price and have steamed the Padres up from -175 to -190. Non-division favorites off a win are 111-58 (66%) this season. The Reds are 6-13 as a dog, 5-13 against righties and 3-11 on the road. Wiseguys are also leaning on a lower scoring game, as the total is 8.5 with the under juiced to -115, signaling a possible fall down to 8. The forecast calls for high 50s with wind blowing in from left at 5-10 MPH. The under is receiving 39% of bets but 75% of money, a notable sharp under bet discrepancy.
