The Angels (8-8) just dropped three of four at the Red Sox but won 5-4 on Monday, cashing as -130 road favorites. On the flip side, the Yankees (10-6) just split a four-game series at home against the Twins, beating Minnesota 2-0 on Sunday as -160 home favorites. In tonight’s series opener, Los Angeles hands the ball to lefty Jose Suarez (0-1, 10.80 ERA) while New York counters with righty Clarke Schmidt (0-0, 8.44 ERA). The Yankees are receiving 83% of bets and 86% of money, signaling a heavy combination of Pro and Joe support. Non-division favorites coming off a win are 59-34 (63%) this season. The Yankees also enjoy a rest advantage, having been off yesterday while the Angels played in Boston. Rested favorites with a day off against teams on the second leg of a back-to-back are 284-181 (61%) since 2018. The Yankees also have the fresher bullpen (4.2 IP last 3 games vs 12.2 IP for Angels).

The Orioles (9-7) just took two of three at the White Sox, winning 8-4 on Sunday as +115 road dogs.
