4:10 p.m. ET: St. Louis Cardinals at Boston Red Sox (-130, 10)

The Cardinals (14-25) stole Friday night’s Interleague series opener 8-6, cashing as -105 road dogs. In this late afternoon rematch, St. Louis taps lefty Steven Matz (0-4, 5.70 ERA) while the Red Sox (22-17) send out fellow lefty Chris Sale (3-2, 6.37 ERA). This line opened with Boston listed as a -120 home favorite and St. Louis a +110 road dog. Pros have pounced on the Red Sox to bounce back with a win at home laying a short chalk price, steaming Boston up from -120 to -130. The Red Sox are receiving 75% of bets but 85% of money, indicating both public support but also heavy sharp action. Boston also has value as an Interleague favorite, as the lack of familiarity provides an added edge to the better team. The Red Sox are 9-6 as a favorite, 10-4 against lefties and 13-8 at home. The Cardinals are 5-11 as a dog, 4-5 against lefties and 8-12 on the road. Pros have also leaned over, raising the total from 9.5 to 10. The over is receiving 71% of bets but 97% of money, a sharp bet discrepancy. Boston is 26-12-1 (68%) to the over, the best in MLB.

8:10 p.m. ET: San Francisco Giants at Arizona Diamondbacks (-170, 8)

These NL West rivals have split the first two games of the four-game series. The Giants (17-21) won the opener 6-2, taking care of business as -145 road favorites. Then the Diamondbacks (21-18) bounced back with a 7-5 on Friday night, cashing as -105 home dogs. In tonight’s rematch, San Francisco starts righty Anthony DeSclafani (3-2, 2.80 ERA) while Arizona turns to fellow righty Zac Gallen (5-1, 2.36 ERA). This line opened with the Diamondbacks listed as a -155 home favorite and the Giants a +140 road dog. Sharps have laid the juice with the Snakes, steaming Arizona up from -155 to -170. The Diamondbacks are receiving roughly 80% of bets and dollars, signaling a heavy combination of both public and sharp support. Arizona also has correlative betting value as a favorite in a low total game (8), as the fewer amount of expected runs scored are more likely to come from the better team. The Snakes have the edge at the plate, hitting .272 vs .244. Arizona is 8-6 as a favorite, 12-10 at home and 12-11 against righties. San Francisco is 8-11 as a dog, 7-11 on the road and 9-15 against righties.
