In the meantime, let's examine where smart money is leaning for Friday's MLB slate...

8:10 p.m. ET: Milwaukee Brewers (-175, 8.5) at Chicago White Sox

The Brewers (62-54) just took two of three against the Rockies, winning Wednesday's series finale 7-6 in extra innings as -225 home favorites. Similarly, the White Sox (47-69) just took two of three against the Yankees, winning 9-2 on Wednesday as +110 home dogs. In tonight's Interleague series opener, the Brewers go with righty Corbin Burnes (9-6, 3.42 ERA) and the White Sox send out fellow righty Michael Kopech (5-10, 4.43 ERA). This line opened with Milwaukee listed as a -165 road favorite and Chicago a +140 home dog. Sharps are laying the chalk with Milwaukee, steaming the Brew Crew up from -165 to -175. The Brewers are receiving 72% of bets and 80% of money, indicating both public and sharp support. Milwaukee has value as an Interleague favorite, with the lack of familiarity benefiting the better team. Interleague favorites off a win are 170-101 (63%) with a 4% ROI this season. When both teams are coming off a day off, as is the case here, the road favorite is 42-25 (63%) with a 7% ROI. The White Sox are just 28-51 (35%) as a dog this season and 33-52 (38%) against righties. The Brewers are 6-2 in Burnes' last eight starts. Burnes has given up two earned runs or less in eight straight starts. The White Sox are 2-7 in Kopech's last nine starts.

10:15 p.m. ET: Texas Rangers (-115, 8.5) at San Francisco Giants

The Rangers (68-47) just took two of three from the Athletics but lost Wednesday's series finale 2-0, failing to cash as -320 road favorites. Meanwhile, the Giants (63-52) just dropped two of three at the Angels, losing 4-1 on Wednesday as -105 road dogs. In tonight's Interleague series opener, the Rangers hand the ball to righty Jon Gray (7-5, 3.72 ERA) and the Giants counter with lefty Scott Alexander (6-2, 4.01 ERA). This line opened at a pick'em with both sides listed at roughly -110 odds. Pros have pounced on Texas at the short price, steaming the Rangers up from -110 to -115. Texas is receiving 80% of bets and 87% of money, signaling a heavy combination of both Pro and Joe support. Road Interleague favorites playing an opponent who missed the playoffs the previous season are 84-55 (60%) with a 3% ROI. Texas also matches as a road favorite coming off a day off against a team who also had a day off (63%). Texas has a big edge at the plate, hitting .271 compared to .239 for San Francisco. The Rangers are 20-12 (63%) with a 12% ROI against lefties this season, the 4th-most profitable team against southpaws in MLB.
