Wednesday Betting Recaps

Wednesday was just your ordinary average hump day in MLB on the first day of summer but with just 14 games as the Braves-Phillies game was postponed.

Favorites mostly dominated and for the second day in a row we saw most streaking teams extend those streaks, though the Red Sox did have their winning one end at 6 games.

Let’s get to the details with our daily recaps, plus also update the season-long betting stats, including the USFL as it heads to its playoffs this weekend.

MLB: Most streaks continued as the Reds (-215) won their 11th straight over the Rockies, who lost their 8th in a row. The Giants (+104, yes, they were again a short home dog vs. the Padres) won their 10th straight. The Pirates (+100) lost their 9th straight. The A's (+160) lost their 7th straight. The Braves (7 straight wins) had their game postponed.

More MLB: Faves went 9-5 on the day with the biggest upsets by the Nationals (+138 i 3-0 win vs. Cardinals), Yankees (+131 in 4-2 win vs. Mariners) and Dodgers (+128 in 2-0 win at the Angels and Shohei Ohtani). Home teams went 9-5 while Over/Unders split 7-7. On the season, faves lead 642-456 with 17 games closing pick-’em. Home teams lead 585-528 with 2 neutral-site games. Unders lead 540-532-42 with 1 no-action.

USFL (ICYMI): Favorites/underdogs split 2-2 in Week 10 on Saturday and Sunday, but dogs finished 27-13 ATS (67.5%) during the 10-week regular season and actually also finished ahead at 22-18 SU. Unders went 3-1 in Week 10 and finished the regular season at 22-17-1 (56.4%) overall.
