Thursday Betting Recaps

Thursday was another day dominated in the sportsbooks by MLB (well, except for those betting golf).

Favorites mostly controlled the action by going 10-4 on the day with no winning dogs above +125.

Let’s get to our regular daily recaps of the MLB betting action, and then update the season-long betting stats.

MLB: Favorites went 8-5 on Thursday, including a doubleheader sweep by the Blue Jays (-120 and -132 at White Sox). The upsets were by the Mets (+125 in 9-0 win at Diamondbacks), Red Sox (+124 in 10-6 win vs. Rangers), Phillies (+115 in 3-1, 11-inning win at Rays), Cardinals (+113 in 3-0 win at Marlins) and Reds (+110 in 5-4, 10-inning win at Nationals). Road teams also led 8-5. Unders went 9-3-1 with push in Tigers’ 9-0 win vs. A’s with a betting total of 9 runs.

More MLB: Favorites lead 742-539 on the season with 21 games closing pick-'em. Home teams' lead has been slipping recently but still lead 672-626 with 4 neutral-site games. In totals wagering, Unders regained the lead at 626-620-55 with 1 no-action after going 9-3-1 on Thursday.
