STONY BROOK, N.Y. (AP) — Akwasi Yeboah scored 24 points and his 3-pointer with 54 seconds left helped send Stony Brook to an 83-79 win over LIU Brooklyn on Wednesday night.
LIU Brooklyn's Raiquan Clark missed a layup with 27 seconds left and was fouled on his put-back attempt. But he missed the free throw, and Jordan McKenzie made a pair of free throws and the Seawolves led 81-77 with 22 seconds to go.
Julius van Sauers's layup narrowed the Blackbirds' deficit to two. Yeboah avoided the foul and his dunk with five seconds left provided the final margin.
