Del Mar Race 7 Post time: 5:00 PT

2-Closing Remarks (3-1)

Talented Cal-bred filly hasn’t sprinted since winning her debut in a five furlong grass dash here 11 months ago, and while she’s performed quite well in subsequent outings over a distance of ground she may in fact be most effective around one corner.  Exiting a pair of graded stakes races, the C. Gaines-trained filly certainly competed with tougher foes than she’s facing in today's Fleet Treat Stakes, and a recent blistering five furlong workout over (58 3/5 seconds, fasted of 25) gives hope that the switch to dirt won’t be an issue.  At this seven furlong trip the daughter of Vronsky looks capable of producing a winning late kick.

Del Mar Race 8:  Post time: 5:30 PT

3-Takelessworkmore (8-1)

Was given a good educational experience in his debut sprinting on grass last month at Santa Anita but still closed with interest while on his own courage before galloping out strongly, winding up fifth but beaten less than four lengths.  The barn generally does well with second-timers and this gelded son of Summer Front is bred to improve going long, so we're expecting a significant forward move in this one mile maiden affair by the S. Ruis-trained  gelding, who will offer good wagering value at or near his morning line of 8-1.
