Trainer Wesley Ward appears to have two live runners in this turf sprint for juvenile fillies, with the better of two most likely Rivka, an Irish-bred filly by the win-early sire No Nay Never and showing a bullet three furlong breeze at Turfway Park last month (:35 1/5). A half-sister to the good New York stakes winner Rubilinda, she could be in line for a trip to Royal Ascot with a top performance today, so at 5/2 on the morning line she is a win play and rolling exotic single, her extreme outside post notwithstanding.

While unproven at this nine-furlong trip, his fast, highly-rated comeback turf sprint win at Santa Anita last March was visually quite pleasing and based on his strong final furlong and a powerful gallop out past the wire, the lightly-raced sophomore should be able to take full advantage of his projected front-running trip. The San Luis Rey Downs shipper attracts Flavien Prat, so at or near his 3-1 morning line there is value to be found in the win pool and in the various rolling exotics.
