Grand Dragon back in SuperContest lead with 5-0 week; Top 5 Consensus goes 4-1
back to news
LAS VEGAS – Grand Dragon is back atop the SuperContest standings after going 5-0 in Week 11 to improve to 38-17 (69.1%) and move into first place by half a point.
Grand Dragon was 28-12 (70%) and split the $15,000 eight-week leader bonus with PHD Sports. Grand Dragon was only 5-5 the next two weeks, but his perfect card with the Steelers, Lions, Giants, Ravens and Eagles puts him back in sole possession of first place.
Last week's leader, BioSoft Sports, slips into a second-place tie with Schematic Advantage (who was the co-leader after four weeks) at 37-17-1. For the uninitiated, SuperContest players make five plays a week against the contest spread and receive 1 point per win and half a point per push.
The Top 5 Consensus had a rare winning week this season at 4-1 with the Eagles -3.5, Patriots -6.5, Lions -2.5 and Vikings -2 (yes, all faves, and all with lines that moved at least half a point by the 11 a.m. PT Saturday submission deadline). The only loser was the Saints -9 vs. the Redskins. In the $5,000-entry SuperContest Gold, the Top 5 went 5-0 with Texans pick ‘em replacing the Saints.
Also in the Gold, BKSF went 3-2 to hold onto the lead in the winner-take-all contest at 36-19 (65.5%). BKSF could have opened up a 4.5-point lead if the Cowboys had covered on Sunday night, but Michael Peffercorn won with the Eagles to also go 3-2 and get back within 2.5 points at 33-22-1 (61.1%) with six weeks to go.
