Andrews: Inside the betting action for TCU-Georgia in Monday’s CFB Championship Game

As I wrote in my article for NFL Week 18: What a time of the year to be a bookmaker.
The markets were crazy during the whole college football bowl season with all of the opt-outs, transfers, etc. This weekend’s NFL card has been just as volatile with playoff scenarios, backup quarterbacks, who needs the game, who’s sitting their starters plus the NFL’s decision to cancel the Bills-Bengals game and how all that went down with the seeding, the coin flip, etc.
And after the NFL wraps up its regular season on Sunday, we get a standalone game Monday night with the CFB Championship Game between the defending champion Georgia Bulldogs and the upstart TCU Horned Frogs.
The official Nevada rotation is just one final college football game.

TCU vs. Georgia (-12, 63)

We opened 13.5 but very briefly. The more I looked at it, I thought 13 was a better number, so I went to 13 and they took the 13 for a big bet. Now I’m at 12 and they’re still taking the 12. I have a feeling this number is going to go lower. The sharps took the 13.5 and the 13. Right now, it is the public taking the 12. A lot of movement on the total. We opened 61, they bet me Over 61 and I went to 62.5. They bet me Over that and I went to 63, they bet me Over that and I went to 63.5. Then they bet me Under 63.5 and I’m back to 63 with it.
