So here we are, Conference Championship weekend and the College Football Playoffs are only 30 days away.
Georgia, Michigan, TCU and USC are currently your top four teams in the playoff rankings and they will all be in action this weekend, looking to at least maintain their position. I gotta tell ya, I like Utah to spoil the party here for Southern Cal. We'll see.
Let's get to the games. As always, they are presented in official Nevada rotation order.
No. 12 Utah vs. No. 4 USC (-2.5, 68) – Las Vegas, NV
We opened USC -2. They laid it, we went to 2.5, they laid it again and we went to 3. Then they took the 3 and we're back to 2.5 with the game. I mentioned I liked Utah. I'm seeing 2.5 everywhere and I think if we go to 3, they will take it again. A lot of business on the total. We opened 67. They bet me Over 67, we went to 68, they bet me Over that and I went to 68.5. They bet me Under 68.5, so I'm back to 68 with the total.
No. 13 Kansas State vs. No. 3 TCU (-2.5, 62) – Arlington, TX
We opened TCU -2.5. Good action both ways but we haven't moved the number. Same thing on the total. We opened 62 and it hasn't moved.
No. 22 Central Florida vs. No. 18 Tulane (-3.5, 56.5) – New Orleans, LA
We did get played on this one. I opened the game 3 and they laid it to me. I went to 3.5 and I even see it at 4 in some spots. We may get there but not yet. We opened the total 56.5 and we're still there.
Fresno State vs. Boise State (-3, 53.5) – Boise, ID
Similar to K-State and TCU, a lot of business on this game but we haven't moved it. We opened Boise -3. The public is laying it and I have a feeling we'll be at 3.5 at some point, but not enough to move me yet. If we do get to 3.5, that is probably when the wise guys will come in. Nothing on the total.
No. 11 LSU vs. No. 1 Georgia (-17.5, 52) – Atlanta, GA
We opened 17.5 and they took it. We went to 17 and they laid it back, so I'm back to 17.5. Little bit more public action laying the 17 than there was sharp play. We're at 52 on the total and have never moved it.
No. 10 Clemson (-8, 63) vs. No. 24 North Carolina – Charlotte, NC
We opened 8.5 and they took it. We went to 8 and are now writing two-way business although I see it trending lower. A lot of 7.5s out there but we haven't had enough yet to move down further. Definitely trending that way, though. We opened the total 62. They bet me Over and I'm at 63.
Purdue vs No. 2 Michigan (-17, 53) – Indianapolis, IN
We opened 16.5 and they bet the favorite. We're up to 17 on the game and writing pretty good two-way business at 17. Definitely a sharp move initially, however, on the 16.5.
