Capitals reassign F Vrana

The Washington Capitals reassigned forward Jakub Vrana to the Hershey Bears of the American Hockey League on Friday.

Vrana, 21, has three goals and three assists in 21 games with the Capitals this season. The Prague, Czech Republic, native made his NHL debut on Dec. 1 against the New York Islanders and scored his first NHL goal on Dec. 9 versus the Buffalo Sabres.

Vrana was drafted by the Capitals in the first round (13th overall) of the 2014 NHL draft. He owns 26 points (14 goals, 12 assists) in 36 games with Hershey this season.
