It’s the final day of the EPL season Sunday and the VSiN Betcast ends with a huge match when Leicester City host Tottenham at the King Power, kick-off 11 a.m. EST.
This is a massive match for both sides with European football at stake for each club next season.
Leicester need the win and have to hope that either Chelsea or Liverpool drop points to secure a top-four finish and Champions League qualification, and Tottenham need the win to secure Europa League football.
Leicester are the favorites to get the win at even odds, but their home form this season has been poor, with eight defeats in 18 matches (second-worst from a side in the top half of the table).
Brendan Rodgers’ side won the FA Cup at an emotional Wembley stadium a week ago and they couldn’t live up to that performance when they faced Chelsea again in midweek in a 2-1 loss at Stamford Bridge.
Leicester need the win, but if Liverpool or Chelsea go into a commanding lead during their matches, then this match will have no influence on European places, which will swing the pendulum into Tottenham’s favor.
It has been a season to forget for Spurs with managerial sackings and the team not performing on the pitch. And to make it worse, striker and England captain Harry Kane has dealt the club a massive blow by putting in a transfer request.
Kane is looking to end a season on a personal high by winning the Golden Boot (top goal-scorer in the EPL) and instead of + 250 for a Tottenham win, the + 150 on Kane to score at anytime in the match looks the best betting option for Spurs supporters.
This is a really tricky match to wager on before kick-off but in-play the match will take on a clearer pitch with events that are happening in other key matches playing a big part of the action, which makes it a must-listen on the Betcast this weekend.
It’s the final day of the season, which means goals are usually guaranteed. The average match goes up by 0.85 goals over the last five years on the final day of the EPL, and the best way to gain financially from this match is to play the goal markets.
Fans will be back into the stadium this weekend and what we have seen since they have returned is more goals and more entertainment.
These two teams met on the final day of the season two years ago and Tottenham won a Premier League classic 5-4. I don’t think it will be that score line again, but I do believe we can get a crazy score line landed at a massive price.
The best play is over 2.5 goals in the match, which is -162 but I would also play over 3.5 goals at + 150.
I also believe that both teams will score, which is also -162. To end the season, I am going to go out with a big-priced wager and have some pizza money on a 3-3 draw at 40/1.
Thank you for joining us this season on the EPL Betcast, enjoy the summer and we will do it all again in a few months.
