Saturday’s VSiN EPL BetCast is a London derby between Crystal Palace and Chelsea from Selhurst Park, kick-off 12:30 p.m. ET.
Chelsea were shocked last week by lowly West Brom in an embarrassing 5-2 home defeat and Thomas Tuchel's side bounced back from that defeat immediately with a highly professional 2-0 Champions League win at Porto on Wednesday night. I am expecting a similar kind of performance on Saturday from the Blues.
Under Tuchel, Chelsea (barring the West Brom match) have been superb defensively and have lost just once in 17 matches. In those matches, Chelsea have 11 wins and in 10 of those victories they have won and not conceded a goal. The Chelsea win to nil at + 140 looks a much better way to bet on the Blues rather than taking them at -200 just to win the match. The win-to-nil is a market that may not be freely available at many US books and if that is the case then have a couple of wagers on Chelsea to win 1-0 and 2-0, which are + 550 and + 600 respectively.
Crystal Palace are 6-1 for the win, which looks about right with just a single win in their last five matches and more alarming for manager Roy Hodgson is that the goals have dried up for his team, especially at home. Palace have failed to find the net in three of their last four home games, and were comfortably beaten by Chelsea 4-0 in the reverse fixture at Stamford Bridge earlier in the season.
Best plays: Chelsea to win to nil at + 140, Chelsea to win 1-0, Chelsea to win 2-0 at + 550 and + 600.
