We finally had a few goals in a VSiN EPL Betcast last time out, but don't expect that to continue on Saturday when we bring you live betting commentary of Chelsea-Fulham match from Stamford Bridge, kick-off 12:30 p.m. ET.
The over 2.5 landed on a rare Betcast occasion on Monday night in Leicester v. Crystal Palace, but normal service looks set to resume tomorrow with -120 on under 2.5 goals my strongest play in this West London derby.
Chelsea are -225 for a win but with some massive matches approaching for the Blues, this could be a great time to go up against Thomas Tuchel’s side.
Chelsea have a huge Champions League semi-final second leg against Real Madrid on Tuesday, and with the match finally poised at 1-1 that match might take a priority. I am expecting Tuche to rotate on his starting XI.
Chelsea also face Man City next in the EPL, which could be a dress rehearsal for the Champions League Final and then a FA Cup Final in a couple of weeks against Leicester at Wembley followed, hopefully, with a Champions League final in Istanbul.
The problem for bettors in this one is that Fulham aren’t good enough to win this match and they can't be touched even at 7-1, as they just don’t create enough goal-scoring chances and are the second-lowest scorers in the EPL behind bottom club Sheffield United.
Chelsea under Tuchel are virtually impossible to break down, and with the German as boss 19 of the 22 games have cashed on under 2.5 goals. Given our unders record in the Betcast, that looks the only way to profit.
Fulham have been a lot better defensively in the second half of the season, and when the two met in the reverse fixture the unders cashed easily in a 1-0 Chelsea win. If you were looking for a little bit more juice in the price, a 1-0 Chelsea win is worthy of some pizza money at 5-1.
The last six times that Fulham have made the short (1.8 mile) trip up the Kings Road to Stamford Bridge, unders cashed on every occasion. With some massive matches coming up for Chelsea and Fulham’s poor attack, this unfortunately looks like another under.
With Chelsea very likely to make changes, England striker Tammy Abraham could be given a rare start in this match. Abraham is + 450 to score the opening goal tomorrow but I would wait until we see the lineups before placing that wager.
