We had our first midweek EPL VSiN BetCast on Wednesday, and although it was a different day and a different time, nothing else changed with the unders cashing yet again when Chelsea beat champions Liverpool at Anfield.
This week we have a mid-table midlands derby when Aston Villa host Wolves on Saturday, kick-off 12:30pm ET and if you think we will see goals … then think again.
We have broadcast 20 EPL BetCasts this during the 2020-21 season and 14 of those matches have seen under 2.5 goals cash with just six featuring more than two goals. The under has cashed in six of our last seven BetCasts and under 2.5 is my first wager for the weekend at -136.
Another way to get against goals and continue the BetCast trend of low scoring matches is to take “no” on “Will both teams score in this match?” which has cashed in the last seven EPL games we have aired. This is available at even odds, which looks tempting.
The two teams played earlier in the season and the match finished 1-0 with Villa getting the win at Molineux. Last season this match again ended in a 1-0 win with Wolves this time getting the win, and to continue the ante-goals trend under 1.5 is appealing at + 225.
No side has been drawing more matches at halftime than Wolves and I predict -- like most matches have been this season -- the first half to be a very close affair and the draw at half-time at evens and the + 175 on the match to be 0-0 after 45 minutes are a couple of bets that interest me.
In the build-up to kick-off there has been some market support for Aston Villa, who have now been bet into as low as + 130 with some books. This seems a bold move considering that their form has dipped from the early part of the season, despite Villa beating a below-par Leeds 1-0 in last week’s BetCast. The move for Villa may be on the back of some team-news with captain Jack Grealish still expected to be sidelined with a calf injury, but if the England international does return on Saturday that will improve their chances of getting three points, and would justify the early betting move.
Wolves have had some better recent performances than their local rivals, but I couldn't bet them at + 200 because they don't score enough goals and the Villa defense and goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez are among the best in the EPL. On the match prices, the draw looks the best value in a match between two very equally matched sides at + 220 and for some pizza money the 0-0 detector has already been making some funny sounds around this match at 8-1. Remember, you must play on No Goalscorer in the match rather than 0-0, as if the match finishes 1-0 and the goal is an own goal, then No Goalscorer will be graded as a winner while the correct-score will be 1-0.
