The Kansas City Chiefs are rare underdogs against the Baltimore Ravens on Monday Night Football.
What the best bets on the game?
Our handicappers Dave Tuley and Drew Dinsick give their opinions on the game.
Kansas City Chiefs at Baltimore Ravens (-3.5, 54.5)
Tuley: Here’s an early candidate for Game of the Year with Kansas City visiting Baltimore on Monday Night Football. The Ravens have been impressive while the Chiefs keep needing to overcome early deficits (Patrick Mahomes set a record with his sixth straight comeback after trailing by 10 or more points with last week’s OT win over the Chargers), but they’re giving us Mahomes and more than a field goal? Yes, please.
Pick: Chiefs + 3.5
Dinsick: Our presumptive AFC Championship Game preview is on tap Monday night as the last two league MVPs square off for the pole position in the race to secure the No. 1 seed and only bye in the AFC playoff picture. As amazing as Baltimore was during the regular season in 2019, the Ravens have improved in almost every major performance category through two games (gaining 0.2 expected points per play on offense while forcing -0.2 expected points per play on defense) suggesting their favorite status in this contest is well-earned. The Chiefs have yet to fully reach their potential this season and will be forced to score often as their defense will be overmatched in every key area. This sets up for a nice opportunity to back the over and look for a live entry for Kansas City and Mahomes to make a classic comeback.
Pick: Over 53.5
