Neither reps for illusionist Criss Angel nor his pop star girlfriend have commented since the illusionist’s show was cancelled Friday at the Luxor when a suspended strait-jacket act ended prematurely.
Angel’s “Mindfreak Live!” was stopped early when something appeared to go wrong, according to eyewitness reports on Twitter. He appeared to be unconscious after going into a two-minute spin.
Angel, usually a social media machine, remained silent on his Twitter and Instagram accounts.
The last post on the Twitter feed of Angel’s girlfriend, Spanish-born Mexican singer and songwriter Belinda, was a broken-hearted emoji. That appeared, without comment, more than eight hours before his 7 p.m. performance Friday night.
The website TMZ.com reported Angel walked out Spring Valley Hospital before 10 p.m.
Angel and Belinda had posted photos from a ski trip earlier in the week from an unidentified resort.
On March 2, Angel tweeted an image of the two of them walking down a ski resort road with the words “The long & winding road…Till death, I travel only with you mi amor @Belindapop.”
In a Wednesday post showing the two hugging on a ski slope, Angel wrote: “Had such an amazing time with mi amor princesa @belindapop. Now we begin intense creation on a huge surprise for Mexico—are you ready.”
Belinda has been cast in the upcoming “Baywatch” film in the role of Carmen. The film is scheduled for a May 19 release.
